The jacket doesn’t start out as Hank’s. In fact, it’s Bill’s.

Until Bill, who is set to marry Karen, asks Hank to lecture at a high school.
“What’s in it for me?” Hank asks.
“What do you want?” Bill answers.
“Call off the wedding,” Hank suggests.
“Anything else?”
“Mmm,” Hank says. “That’s a nice jacket.”
Next thing you know, Hank is wearing it.

It’s so nice, Hank was willing to speak at a high school for it.
