Following the series finale on Sunday, the HBO political comedy Veep is placing more than 1,000 props, costumes and set pieces up for auction. Fans can replicate the vice presidential wardrobe of Selina Meyers (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), comprised of power skirt suits and form-fitting dresses.
Available on screenbid until June 1, the auction features fashion pieces from Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Louboutin, Burberry, Victoria Beckham, Dior, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Kate Spade, Jason Wu, Michael Kors, Manolo Blahnik, Oscar De la Renta, Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrera and more used on the show, which concluded after seven episodes in its seventh and final season.
Items up for auction worn by Louis-Dreyfus include the entire red dress collection, a Carolina Herrera black trench coat from season 3, her pink Oscar De la Renta “campaign flashback” belted dress, her cornflower blue “shutdown” dress by Prada, her TV debate red Dolce & Gabbana dress, Selina’s “frozen yoghurt” Oscar de la Renta dress, her pancake brunch Burberry Brit shirt with striped apron and a red Gucci dress from a dinner with General Maddox. Many starting bids begin at $50 with sizing mainly between 2 to 8 or size small for the clothes curated by costume designer Kathleen Felix-Hager.
Bidders can additionally get fictional White House souvenirs and Oval Office decor, such as a presidential seal for a podium, a vase and pitcher from the White House china set, vice presidential pens, a Camp David throw blanket or a Roosevelt bust.
HBO provides an authentication certificate for Veep items purchased in the auction. Screenbid is also selling pieces from the TV series You’re the Worst, created by Stephen Falk, until May 29.
